Man Sentenced to 29 years for Producing Child Pornography
HARRISBURG, PA – Michael Boyd Damgaard, 37, of Dauphin, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced to 29 years in federal prison for producing child pornography, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle district of Pennsylvania announced today. U.S. District judge Keli M. Neary also ordered Damgaard to serve 15 years of supervised release following his imprisonment.
According to Acting U.S.Attorney John C. Gurganus,Damgaard engaged in illegal sexual activity with two girls,ages 14 and 15,after contacting them online between April and June 2020. He created explicit videos and images involving one of the victims and pressured both to send him sexually explicit content.
damgaard pleaded guilty on September 25, 2024, admitting to producing, receiving, and possessing child pornography, as well as coercing minors into illicit sexual activity.
The inquiry was a joint effort by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Pennsylvania State Police, with Assistant U.S.attorney Christian T.
