Microsoft Offers Nostalgia-Fueled Holiday Sweaters – and They’re Selling Fast
REDMOND, WA – December 6, 2023 – Microsoft is embracing the “ugly sweater” trend with a line of holiday apparel celebrating its history and current products. The collection, available now through the microsoft Merchandise Store, includes designs inspired by Windows, Xbox, Zune, and a retro “Artifact” sweater packed with iconic imagery.
This year marks significant anniversaries for the tech giant – 40 years of Windows and 50 years of Microsoft – and the sweaters reflect that legacy. The “Artifact” sweater features a Creeper from Minecraft, an MSDOS prompt, Clippy from early versions of Office, the Paint icon, and the Copilot logo.
Alongside the nostalgic “Artifact” design, shoppers can choose sweaters reminiscent of the Zune music player and promoting the Xbox gaming platform. All sweaters are priced at $80.
Demand is high, though. The “Artifact” sweater is currently sold out, though pre-orders are being accepted for a January restock. Interested buyers are encouraged to order quickly from the official Microsoft Merchandise Store catalog to avoid missing out.
