Prepare for an unprecedented adventure as Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 gears up for a thrilling collaboration with the iconic Jurassic Park franchise. This highly anticipated add-on promises to transport players to prehistoric landscapes teeming with majestic dinosaurs.

Jurassic World: Archipelago Arrives Soon

Fans of both flight simulation and dinosaur epics will soon experience a unique blend of both worlds. The upcoming expansion, officially titled “Jurassic World: Archipelago,” is a joint venture between Orbx Studios, renowned developers and mod creators, and Universal Products & Experiences. This immersive content is slated for release between late August and early September of 2025.

Orbx Studios announced that this new content will bring the signature adventure of the blockbuster film series directly into the player’s cockpit. The add-on is set to feature Isla Nublar and the five islands of the Muertes Archipelago, all familiar locations from the Jurassic World universe.

Players can anticipate exploring these meticulously recreated islands, which will boast six runways and twelve helipads. These landing zones will accommodate a variety of aircraft and helicopters, enhancing the simulation experience.

Immersive Prehistoric Encounters

Orbx is enhancing the visual fidelity by populating the islands with a diverse array of dinosaurs. Expect to see familiar species like Tyrannosaurus Rex, Stegosaurus, and Velociraptors roaming the virtual terrain. Every element is designed to deliver an unparalleled sensation within Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.

To further enhance authenticity, the add-on includes detailed recreations of real-world locations. This features Juan Santamaria International Airport and Marina Bay Herradura in Costa Rica, the country that served as a primary filming backdrop for the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World films.

Microsoft Flight Simulator has consistently proven to be a versatile platform for both user-generated content and official collaborations. While previous additions have included historic aircraft and space exploration, the inclusion of Jurassic World’s dinosaurs marks a particularly unique and exciting venture.

The “Jurassic World: Archipelago” expansion is planned for release on both PC and Xbox platforms. Pricing details for the add-on have not yet been officially disclosed.
