Medvedev Splits With Coach Cervara After US Open Loss

Daniil Medvedev and Coach Gilles Cervara End eight-Year Partnership

FLUSHING MEADOWS, NY – September ⁣1, ‌2025 – Daniil‌ Medvedev⁢ and his coach⁢ of eight years, Gilles Cervara, have announced the​ end of their highly accomplished partnership, effective ⁢promptly following ⁢Medvedev’s disappointing run‌ at the 2025 US open.‍ The ⁤split⁣ marks the end​ of an era that‍ saw Medvedev rise to⁢ world number 1 and claim a Grand slam⁣ title.

Medvedev currently holds a 26-18 record for‍ the⁢ 2025 season.⁤ The future direction of both Medvedev’s coaching staff and his ​competitive career remains to be seen.
