Mastercard Launches‍ Global Coalition to Advance financial Health for‌ All

NEW YORK – November 25, 2025 – Mastercard⁣ today announced the ‍formation of a global coalition dedicated to improving financial health for individuals and communities worldwide. The initiative builds ⁣on Mastercard’s ongoing efforts ‌to foster inclusive digital economies and secure financial systems, addressing‌ a growing‍ need for accessible financial tools and education.

The coalition aims to accelerate ‌the adoption of solutions that empower individuals⁣ to⁤ manage their finances effectively, build credit, and achieve long-term financial stability. This comes as fragmented identity systems and ⁢limited access to financial services continue‌ to⁢ hinder economic participation for millions globally.

Recent Mastercard ‍partnerships demonstrate ⁢the‌ company’s ⁢commitment to this goal. In February, Mastercard invested in Smile ID, an innovative identity platform, to complement its existing efforts in building ⁤secure and inclusive digital⁤ ecosystems.”As ⁢fragmented identity systems slow down businesses and lock millions out of the ⁢digital economy, Smile ID’s innovative identity platform complements Mastercard’s commitment to fostering ‍secure and inclusive digital ecosystems,” said Selin⁤ Bahadirli, executive vice president, services, Mastercard EEMEA, in ‍a press release.

Mastercard is also focused on facilitating⁤ cross-border payments ⁢and supporting economic development. In July, the company collaborated wiht BMO ‍to expand the Canadian bank’s‌ money transfer service, enabling BMO’s personal banking clients to send funds to nearly 70 destinations. “Remittances ⁣remain vital for many in⁣ developing destinations, where funds are used to ⁣support family education, property payments and other critical expenses,” according to a partnership announcement. Through Mastercard Move, ⁢BMO clients can send money directly‍ to⁤ recipient bank accounts without hidden fees.

Furthering its commitment to digital‍ payments infrastructure,Mastercard expanded its relationship with National ITMX (NITMX) in June to power PromptPay,Thailand’s leading⁣ real-time payments⁤ platform. “The thai digital payments ecosystem continues to grow, driven⁤ by the widespread adoption of PromptPay,” Mastercard said in a press release at the time.

The newly formed coalition will ⁢leverage Mastercard’s technology, data insights, and global network to drive collaborative ⁢solutions and measurable impact in financial health. Details regarding‍ coalition members and specific initiatives⁤ will be‌ released in the coming months.
