Marvel has officially unveiled Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, a fighting game featuring a roster of popular Marvel characters, during its State of Play presentation. Pre-orders for the game are slated to begin as early as next week, February 19th, with a full release scheduled for August 6th.

The game will include characters from the X-Men franchise, including Storm, Wolverine, Magneto and Danger, as confirmed by the presentation. A deluxe edition of the game will too feature five character costumes for Spider-Man, Storm, Iron Man, Captain America, and Doctor Doom, some inspired by video game iterations and others drawing from classic comic book designs. Additional content includes a Howard the Duck lobby avatar, a Cosmo the Spacedog lobby pet, and animated color palettes for all 20 launch characters.

Post-launch support for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is planned to include four new characters and an additional stage over the course of its first year, all bundled within the game’s Ultimate Edition. The development team is the same group behind UnKilled X-Men, according to the presentation.

The announcement follows recent leaks of a Steam page for the game, which initially revealed details about the title before its official unveiling. The game is planned for release on both PC and PlayStation 5 platforms.
