Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra Faces further Delay
Skydance Games announced today, November 6, 2025, that Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra will not release in 2025 as previously anticipated. The game, originally revealed in 2019, is now targeting a 2026 release window, continuing a lengthy growth cycle for the aspiring World War II-era title.
The delay adds to frustration surrounding the project, which promised a unique narrative centered on the alliance between Captain America and Black Panther. Players will control four characters – Captain America, Black Panther, Gabriel Jones of the Howling Commandos, and Wakandan Spy Network leader Nanali – in a story penned by Uncharted veteran Amy Hennig. While the concept has generated excitement, updates have been scarce, raising concerns about the game’s progress. Plaion picked up publishing duties in 2024,offering a glimmer of hope, but a firm release date remains elusive.
