Mark Sanchez Stabbing: Former QB Charged in Indianapolis Attack

Surveillance Footage Shows Former NFL Quarterback Mark Sanchez Bloody and Disoriented After Alleged⁣ Stabbing

Indianapolis, IN – Surveillance video⁢ released this week depicts former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez, 37, appearing bloodied and disoriented shortly after allegedly ‍stabbing a 69-year-old man in an Indianapolis alleyway. The ⁤footage, obtained by NewsNation, shows Sanchez running from the scene with visible bloodstains on his shirt at approximately ‌12:30 a.m. on October 10,‌ 2025.

The video shows Sanchez turning right onto a‌ sidewalk, struggling to ‌move, and raising a hand to ‍his chest. Indianapolis⁤ police⁤ and firefighters arrived at the scene seven minutes later, closing it off​ to the public.⁢ The alleged⁤ victim, identified as Tole, ‍was transported on a gurney at 12:47 a.m., followed by Sanchez ⁤to a local hospital.

According to court documents,the victim suffered ‌a “severe laceration to the side of his face,penetrating all the way‌ through his left cheek.”⁢ Sanchez has been ‍criminally ‍charged with one count of felony battery resulting in a serious, violent‍ injury and is⁣ also facing a civil lawsuit filed by ‌the victim on Monday.

TMZ founder Harvey Levin, commenting on the ⁢footage, stated, ​”He is ‍out ⁣of his head, there is just no question.” Levin further described Sanchez’s behavior in the video as “wandering aimlessly” and at⁢ one point appearing to “fall asleep for two ‍minutes” while leaning against a wall.⁢ Levin noted he could not confirm the cause of Sanchez’s state ⁢of mind, but acknowledged “it was something.”

Sanchez was a ‍high-profile​ NFL analyst‍ for Fox Sports ​prior ⁣to the ​incident. While a conviction could⁢ result in jail time, Levin suggested it may not necessarily end Sanchez’s media career, stating, “As clear as it seems in the⁢ moment, ⁢it’s just not the way it ends up in reality,‍ so I don’t know.”
