MANNSVILLE,N.Y. (WWTI) – Mannsville manor Elementary School students will start the school year prepared thanks to a donation of 204 backpacks filled with essential supplies. Waite Toyota partnered with the Kids In Need Foundation to provide the backpacks to the southern Jefferson County school.
Since 2022, Toyota dealerships nationwide have collaborated with the Kids in Need Foundation to support students, contributing over $3.5 million through the Big Summer Giveback program. Local dealerships, like Waite Toyota, typically donate between 200-400 backpacks valued between $5,000 and $10,000.
“Our school is thrilled to accept this charitable donation,” said Principal Jim Pelton. “These backpacks will be distributed to students in need throughout our district, helping ensure they continue the school year prepared and supported.”
