Mannsville Elementary Receives Backpacks from Waite Toyota & Kids In Need

MANNSVILLE,N.Y. (WWTI) – ​Mannsville manor Elementary School students​ will ⁣start the school year prepared thanks⁤ to⁤ a donation of ⁤204 backpacks filled ⁤with essential supplies. Waite Toyota partnered ‍with the Kids In Need ‌Foundation⁤ to provide the backpacks to the southern⁢ Jefferson County school.

Since 2022, Toyota dealerships nationwide have collaborated with the Kids in Need Foundation ⁣to support students, contributing over $3.5⁤ million through ⁢the Big ‍Summer Giveback program. Local dealerships, like Waite Toyota, typically donate between 200-400 backpacks valued between $5,000 ‌and $10,000.

“Our school ⁣is ​thrilled to‍ accept this charitable donation,” said Principal Jim Pelton. “These backpacks will be distributed ⁢to students⁤ in need throughout our​ district, helping ensure they continue the school year prepared and supported.”
