The Manchester-based team in The Hundred has been rebranded as the Manchester Super Giants ahead of the 2026 season.
The franchise enters a new era under the co-ownership of RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group (RPSG Group) and Lancashire Cricket. The team will continue to play its home fixtures at Emirates Old trafford. This rebrand aligns the Manchester franchise with RPSG Group’s portfolio, which includes the Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL and Durban’s Super Giants in SA20.
Alongside the new name, a restructured management team is in place. Tom Moody has been appointed Global Director of Cricket, overseeing performance strategy across all RPSG-owned teams. Justin langer is the new Men’s Head Coach, succeeding Simon Katich, while Matthew Mott takes over as Women’s Head Coach, replacing Michael Klinger.
The Manchester Super Giants have also announced their initial player pre-signings. For the men’s team, they’ve secured Jos Buttler, Heinrich Klaasen, Noor ahmad, and Liam Dawson. The women’s side features Meg Lanning, Smriti Mandhana, and Sophie Ecclestone.
