Before his career in scouting and coaching development, Mundy was a four-year letterman in basketball at O Perry Walker High School and Helen Cox High School. He earned a full athletic scholarship to Rise Academy in Philadelphia before playing at Chabot College under CCCMBCA Hall of Fame coach Denny aye.
