Magic: The Gathering and PlayStation Team Up for Exclusive Card Drops
SEATTLE, WA – september 26, 2023 – Wizards of the Coast and PlayStation are launching a collaborative collection of Magic: The Gathering Secret Lair cards inspired by iconic PlayStation video game franchises. The limited-edition drops will feature seven distinct sets,available for purchase beginning October 27 at 9 a.m. Pacific Time.
The collaboration marks a unique intersection of gaming and collectible card game culture, bringing beloved PlayStation characters and worlds to the Magic: The Gathering universe. While most franchises will receive a single card featuring their protagonist, The Last of Us and god of War will each be represented by two sets, dedicated to different installments within their respective series.The Last of Us sets will cover both the first game and its sequel,while God of War will feature cards representing the original Greek storyline and the Norse reboot.
The full lineup of PlayStation-themed Secret Lair drops includes: The Last of Us part I, The Last of Us Part II, Uncharted, God of War: Greek, God of War: Norse, Horizon Forbidden West, and Ghost of Tsushima. thes cards are expected to appeal to both Magic: The Gathering players and fans of the featured PlayStation titles.
