Madeleine McCann Suspect Refuses Interview with Police Ahead of Prison ‍Release

Praia da Luz, Portugal – Christian Brueckner, the prime suspect in the‌ disappearance of Madeleine mccann, ⁣has declined to cooperate with‍ the Metropolitan Police ahead of his release from ‍a Portuguese prison on ‍Wednesday.⁤ The 49-year-old German national is set to be freed after serving a seven-year sentence​ for the 2005 rape of an elderly woman in Praia da ‍Luz – the same resort from ‌which⁤ three-year-old Madeleine vanished in 2007.

While ​Brueckner has not been⁢ charged in ⁤connection with Madeleine’s disappearance, he remains under examination by authorities in Germany,⁣ Portugal, and the UK. Despite a formal request from the Met Police for an interview, brueckner has​ refused to speak with investigators, according to a statement released Monday.
