Luna Wedler Turns Heads at Venice Film Festival as Event Nears close
Venice, Italy - Actress Luna Wedler captivated attendees at the Venice Film Festival on Friday, debuting a striking sleeveless Vokuhila dress on the red carpet for the premiere of “Silent Friend” (original title: “Silent Friend”). The 25-year-old paired the black bustier gown with matching pointed pumps, a golden necklace, and red lipstick, completing the look with a sleek bun.
The 82nd international Film Festival of Venice is drawing to a close, culminating on September 6th with the awarding of the golden Lion for best film. Wedler stars in “Silent Friend,” directed by Hungarian filmmaker Ildikó Enyedi,69,which screened as the final film in the festival program. The film,also featuring Léa Seydoux,40,and Johannes hegemann (born 1996),is set in Marburg,Germany,and centers around a ginkgo tree observing the lives of three individuals.
Wedler’s appearance in Venice comes as her star continues to rise. The Zurich-born actress currently stars in the novel adaptation “22 Lahnen,” released September 4th, alongside Jannis Niewöhner, 33. In the film, she portrays Tilda, a student balancing care for her younger sister Ida (Zoë Baier) and her mother (Laura Tonke) while working at a supermarket and finding solace in swimming 22 laps. The narrative is further complex by the arrival of Viktor (Niewöhner), the brother of a friend Tilda lost five years prior.
