(atom Splitter) Long distance Calling are set to release *LIVE AT LICHTBURG*, a live album and film documenting thier sold-out February 2024 performance at the historic Lichtburg Cinema in Essen, Germany. The concert, attended by over 1,200 fans, represents the band’s largest headline show to date.
Formed in Munster in 2007, Long Distance Calling – comprised of David Jordan (guitars), Florian funtmann (guitars), Jan Hoffmann (bass), and Janosch Rathmer (drums) - has established itself as a leading force in progressive and cinematic instrumental rock. *LIVE AT LICHTBURG* features a reimagining of their catalog, enhanced with string and brass arrangements.
The performance drew material from across their discography, with a focus on the albums *Eraser* and *avoid The Light*. The release aims to capture the dynamic range of their live show, moving between delicate passages and powerful soundscapes.
“Kamilah” will serve as the lead single, accompanied by a live video from the Lichtburg concert. Further singles will also be released with corresponding live visuals leading up to the full album release.
*LIVE AT LICHTBURG* will be available in multiple formats: a 2LP Gatefold Heavyweight 180g vinyl edition with Blu-ray, and a CD + Blu-ray Digipak. The release includes both audio and visual components of the performance.
