London – A 17-year-old boy is under arrest following a series of alleged sexual assaults on multiple women across London over a two-hour period on Friday,September 5th. British Transport Police (BTP) are urgently appealing for witnesses to come forward as investigations continue.
The incidents began at 4:40 PM on the Bakerloo line at Harlesden station, where a woman reported being sexually assaulted by a boy described as approximately 17 years old. Within the following two hours, similar assaults were reported on Thameslink trains and at Blackfriars and West Hampstead railway stations, prompting a swift response from law enforcement. This series of alleged attacks has raised significant concerns for public safety on London’s transport network and underscores the ongoing need for vigilance and reporting of such incidents.
The first reported assault occurred while a woman was traveling on a Bakerloo line train at Harlesden station.Shortly after, the same boy allegedly targeted two more women – one on a Thameslink train and another on the platform at Blackfriars railway station.
At approximately 6:40 PM, a further assault was reported on a Thameslink train heading towards St Pancras railway station. The final incident allegedly took place at West Hampstead station around 7:00 PM, where another woman was targeted.
BTP confirmed the assaults are linked and are seeking details from anyone who may have witnessed any of the incidents or believes they may have been a victim.
“They would like anyone who witnessed thes incidents – or who may possibly have been a victim themselves – to come forward,” a BTP spokesperson stated.
