London Fire: Children Hospitalized After Enfield Flat Fire

Three children were hospitalized following a significant fire that engulfed ⁤a three-story block of flats in Enfield, north London, early this morning. ⁢emergency services responded to the blaze, which began receiving⁣ reports at‌ 5:19 AM,‍ adn successfully⁢ brought it under control by 8:06 AM.

The fire, which drew a substantial response ‍from the ​London Fire Brigade (LFB) and​ Hertfordshire Fire and ⁣Rescue Service, has prompted a joint ⁤investigation with the Metropolitan Police to determine its cause. The incident caused significant disruption,leading to the closure of the A10 into Hoe Lane and urging drivers to avoid‌ the area.​ The quick response prevented wider ‍spread, but underscores the⁤ ongoing ‍risk​ of fires in residential buildings⁤ and the⁤ importance of fire⁣ safety measures.

The LFB received 16 calls regarding the fire, deploying crews from Enfield, Edmonton, chingford, Tottenham, Woodford, and ‌Southgate fire stations. Hertfordshire Fire and‍ Rescue Service contributed two engines to assist in extinguishing the flames.⁣

LFB’s drone team provided aerial support, offering⁤ a⁤ thorough view of the fire’s‍ extent and ⁣aiding ground⁣ crews.The condition of the children taken to hospital has not been released.
