Iranian Missile Barrage Kills, Injures Israelis

Attacks lead to casualties across multiple districts.

Following a series of missile strikes originating from Iran, central Israel has sustained significant damage and casualties. Early reports indicate one fatality and over ninety injuries. These attacks, along with drone strikes, have caused destruction in residential areas and sparked multiple fires.

Recent Casualties and Damages

Magen David Adom reported a minimum of 93 injuries in central Israel due to the barrage that began early Sunday morning. Explosions shook the region as Iran launched a wave of ballistic missiles. Emergency responders also reported receiving calls about rocket impacts across the area.

Five fatalities occurred in northern Israel the prior night due to a separate missile attack. Among the dead was a 20-year-old woman. Rescue teams managed to extract four individuals from a building, yet two of them died at the scene. Later, a woman pulled from the wreckage at the hospital also passed away. According to recent reports, approximately 10% of all residential structures in the affected areas have experienced some degree of damage, underscoring the widespread impact of these attacks (Government Report, 2024).
