Lenovo is preparing to unveil a modern detachable 2-in-1 device at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, marking the company’s first update to its detachable line in two years. The device will debut between March 2 and March 5, alongside a broad showcase of Lenovo’s artificial intelligence-driven technology, according to sources familiar with the company’s plans. The announcement comes as MWC Barcelona prepares to host a significant return of major mobile manufacturers after disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The event, now in its 20th year in Barcelona, is expected to feature a surge in new device launches, including potential releases from Samsung and Apple. Lenovo’s presence at MWC 2026 will extend beyond the new detachable, encompassing laptops, desktops, accessories, and services, all integrated with what the company describes as “smarter AI.” The company’s exhibition will also highlight its ecosystem of connected devices and meeting room solutions. MWC Barcelona, organized by the GSMA, is considered the largest and most influential connectivity event globally. Leaders Conference Passes for the event are priced at €2,419 with VAT, while Exhibition Passes cost €989 with VAT, offering access to keynotes, networking opportunities, and the show floor. Xiaomi is also expected to present a substantial lineup of mobile products, potentially including electric vehicles and innovative gadgets, at MWC 2026. The event will provide a platform for numerous manufacturers to showcase their latest advancements in mobile technology.
