Pokémon Day 2026 has arrived, and LEGO fans have a lot to celebrate as the highly anticipated Pokémon sets are now available worldwide. The launch marks the 30th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise, which began with the release of Pokémon Red and Blue in 1996.

The collaboration between LEGO and Pokémon was first teased in March 2025 with a glimpse of Pikachu’s tail, generating significant excitement among builders and trainers. Full reveals of the sets followed in January 2026, and today, February 27th, the sets officially went on sale, featuring brick-built versions of Eevee, Pikachu, Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise.

The LEGO Pokémon sets cater to a range of budgets and display preferences. The most affordable option is the 72151 Eevee set, priced at $59.99. The 72152 Pikachu and Poké Ball set is available for $199.99, showcasing the iconic Pokémon bursting out of its Poké Ball with brick-built electricity effects. For dedicated collectors, the 72153 Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise set offers a larger and more intricate build, retailing for $649.99.

Alongside the main sets, LEGO is offering two limited-time “Gift With Purchase” (GWP) promotions. From February 27th to March 8th, purchasers of the 72153 Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise set will receive the 40892 Kanto Region Badge Collection. LEGO Insiders members can also redeem 2,600 points for the 40911 Mini Pokémon Center, starting today. Both GWPs are expected to have limited stock, encouraging swift purchases.

The release of these sets has been met with considerable anticipation, as evidenced by the rapid spread of information through outlets like Jay’s Brick Blog and 9to5Toys. The Pokémon Day celebrations also include new game releases, a Squishmallows collection, and trading card deals, as reported by USA Today, further solidifying the franchise’s continued popularity.

A livestream event, Pokémon Presents, was held today to mark Pokémon Day, offering fans further insights into upcoming releases and events, according to Mashable.
