LA 2028 Unveils Stars Align Official Olympic Slogan
The 2028 Los Angeles Summer Olympic Games organizing committee officially announced the official slogan as “Stars Align,” connecting the city’s cultural identity and sports spirit, as vietnam.vn reported.
Los Angeles Uses Movie Industry Imagery for 2028 Games
Organizers selected the phrase to capture the moment where the Hollywood stage meets the world’s biggest sports stage. The phrasing ties together Los Angeles’s status as a creative and cultural hub with its host duties. The imagery draws directly from the movie industry to give the 2028 Games a distinct identity.
Athletes from countries and territories worldwide will gather to compete and share aspirations under this banner. The messaging is designed to highlight individual ambition and collective moments during the competition.
Previous Olympic Slogans in Comparison
The announcement follows a long tradition of host cities adopting unique slogans that reflect local character. The 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics used “A New World.” The 2020 Tokyo Games chose “United by Emotion” to emphasize connection through sport. Paris adopted “Games Wide Open” for the 2024 event to signal openness and a welcoming spirit.

Return to Los Angeles After Four Decades
The slogan unveiling marks another step forward in preparations for the 2028 Summer Games, scheduled to run from July 14 to July 30, 2028. Los Angeles previously hosted the Summer Olympics in 1932 and 1984. The 2028 event marks the city’s return to the Olympic hosting schedule after an interval of more than forty years.
