Kyunghee-Hanyang Sports Exchange: ‘The Lion Match’ Event

kyunghee and Hanyang Universities Launch‍ ‘The​ Lion ⁣Match’​ Sports Exchange

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA ⁤- Kyunghee University and Hanyang ⁤University will​ inaugurate a new era of intercollegiate sportsmanship with “The⁢ lion ⁤Match,” a first-time ‌sports exchange event, set to take place on November 19th at ⁢Seonseung Hall and⁣ the field hockey court at Kyunghee University’s International Campus.

approximately 600 athletes, ‍students, and ‌faculty from both universities – including Hanyang University’s ⁤ERICA⁤ campus -⁢ are expected to participate in the event, hosted by Kyunghee‍ University⁣ International​ Campus⁤ and organized by the⁣ student ‌councils of Kyunghee ‌University’s college of⁢ Physical education‌ and Hanyang⁣ University’s Colleges of Arts and Physical education (Seoul and ERICA campuses).

The core​ of “The Lion Match” will feature competitive games between the basketball and soccer teams. The ⁤event will also include halftime entertainment such ⁤as basketball relay shots and soccer relays, alongside an ESG campaign ​promoting eco-friendly practices through the distribution⁣ of reusable ‍cheering towels. Promotional booths, giveaways, food trucks, and photo opportunities will further enhance the ⁣experience.

Student leaders spearheaded the association of the exchange, including Park Seong-min and​ Hanna ⁤Lee,⁣ presidents and vice president⁣ respectively of Kyunghee University’s College of Physical Education Student Council, and Dohyung Kim and ⁣Geonhyeong Go, ​presidents of Hanyang University’s College of Arts and Physical Education Student Councils ‌(Seoul and ERICA).

“Participants in this exchange‍ match ⁢will ⁢have the opportunity to communicate⁤ and cooperate as a community ‍beyond simple wins and losses,” stated an official from Kyung⁢ Hee University’s ⁣International Campus.”We⁤ also ⁢expect it‍ to be a⁤ meaningful ⁢event ⁤to‌ strengthen the bond between​ universities and practice the spirit ​of sports.Starting‌ with ⁢this ⁤first exchange match,⁣ we plan to develop regular holdings and promote the expansion of sports and cultural exchanges in parallel.”
