AI-Focused Ecosystem Growth (September 3rd)
A seminar focused on supporting the global expansion of Korean startups, notably those leveraging AI, will be held in the 9th meeting room of the National Assembly Hall on September 3rd. Hosted by members of the National Assembly’s Digital Economy 3.0 Forum, alongside the App Ecosystem Forum and Korea Startup Forum, the event will feature presentations from Yonsei University Business Management Professor Cho Dae-gon on global growth strategies for K-mobile app startups, and Paty Peter (Park Joon-ho) on effectively utilizing global platforms for AI startups. Panelists include Yonsei University Computational Science Engineering Professor Shin Won-yong, Beagles, and a representative from the Ministry of Science and Technology Details and Communication.
KPCA Show 2025 - Semiconductor & Packaging Innovation (September 3-5)
The 22nd International advanced Semiconductor Board and Packaging Industry Exhibition (KPCA Show 2025) will take place at Songdo Convensia in Incheon from September 3rd to 5th. Organized by the Korea PCB and Packaging Industry Association (KPCA), and sponsored by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and energy and Incheon Metropolitan City, the exhibition will feature approximately 750 booths showcasing the latest technologies from companies including Samsung Electro-Mechanics, LG Innotek, Simtec, and Stats Chip Pack Korea. The theme,”Beyond AI & Angstrom’s Limits,” highlights the cutting edge of the industry.
Makinaraks’ ‘Attention 2025’ AI Conference (September 4th)
Industry-specific AI company Makinaraks will host its flagship AI conference, ‘Attention 2025,’ at Yangjae el tower in Seoul on September 4th. This year’s theme, “thinking, acting, and changing the industry,” will focus on the submission and leadership of agent AI within various industrial sectors. Attendees will include technical and industry leaders from companies like LG, Purio AI, Upstage, Real World, Korea Water Resources corporation, Doosan Energy Village, Hyundai Auto Ever, Army Academy, and NVIDIA. The event has already garnered meaningful interest, with nearly 1,000 applicants within the first week, following 700 applicants last year.
Database & AI Technology Conferences (September 2-4)
Early September will also see conferences from EDB, Mongolian DB, and YuracL, held on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th respectively. EDB will focus on PostgreSQL-based open-source database technology and global market strategies. Mongolian DB will highlight the latest NoSQL technologies and their integration with AI. Software Supply Chain Security Seminar (September 11th)
The Korea Information Security Industry Association (KISIA) and Korea University SW and AI Graduate School will co-host a special seminar on Software Supply Chain Security on September 11th. The seminar will address “Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) and Hardware Bill of Materials (HBOM) Strategy for Large Corporations.” Registration is open until September 5th on a first-come, first-served basis.
