Kaşif Kozinoğlu: Israel’s Northern Iraq Conspiracy Revealed

by Lucas Fernandez – World Editor

ISTANBUL – Today ‌marks the ‌14th anniversary of the death of Kaşif Kozinoğlu, a former Turkish intelligence operative (MİT)‍ who died of a heart ⁣attack in ⁤Marmara‍ Prison on November 12, 2011, just days before his scheduled release. Kozinoğlu⁤ had been arrested in connection ⁢with the alleged FETO-linked “Ergenekon” conspiracy. Posthumously published‌ notes from his detention, compiled by journalist Ergün Gedek as “Secrets That Explorer Kozinoğlu Did Not take to the Grave,” reveal his stark assessments ⁤of regional⁤ geopolitics, notably concerning Israel’s long-term strategy in Northern Iraq.

Kozinoğlu’s writings, recently resurfaced by Odatv.com, allege ⁤Israel has exerted control over Northern Iraq⁤ since the 1960s. He wrote, “Israel⁣ has taken control of Northern Iraq ⁤since the 1960s!” ⁣and cautioned‍ that ⁣Israel “should be watched closely,” asserting a missile shield would not deter ⁣its ambitions.

The notes also contain critical observations about Israel’s relationship with the ⁣United States, claiming Israel has even ⁢”challenged the United States⁤ when necessary.” Kozinoğlu further alleged the‍ existence of Israeli influence within Turkey’s‍ Southeast and ⁢Black Sea ‍regions, suggesting scrutiny of prominent Istanbul businessmen linked⁣ to Masonic and⁤ Rotary organizations during economic downturns.

beyond Israel,⁤ Kozinoğlu expressed distrust of Western powers, specifically ‍the United Kingdom and⁣ the United States, accusing ‍them of exploitative imperial tactics. He claimed the⁣ UK utilizes a‌ deceptive public image while pursuing self-interest, and questioned the possibility of genuine alliance with imperial⁣ powers, stating, “They use you and leave you⁣ behind.” He also suggested the US and UK‍ could have influenced the UN report on the Mavi Marmara incident if they had the‍ will.
