Joy Behar Questions ‘Bachelorette‘ Star Taylor Frankie Paul‘s Family Life

NEW YORK,NY – Joy Behar raised eyebrows during a recent discussion on “The View,” questioning the family background of Taylor Frankie Paul, the newest lead on ABC’s “The Bachelorette.” Behar’s comments stemmed from paul’s past involvement in the Hulu series “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” and the complexities of her personal life.

Behar acknowledged the challenges Paul has faced, stating, “I don’t judge women for having kids with different men. She’s had actually a pretty challenging life and you get a glimpse into her family if you watched ‘Mormon Wives.’ It’s tough. They navigate a very restrictive religion. She’s stepped out of the faith and now is trying to find herself.” The comments come as Paul prepares to embark on a journey to find love on national television, a move that has already generated significant buzz due to her unconventional background and rise to fame through #MomTok.

Paul gained prominence as the creator of #MomTok, a social media group that ultimately inspired the Hulu docuseries. She previously made headlines in 2022 after publicly admitting to participating in a “soft-swinging” arrangement with other mormon couples, a claim her co-stars have denied.

“the View” co-host Sarah Haines also pointed to the strategic casting, noting the “A-level synergy” between ABC and Hulu following the inclusion of Paul’s “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” castmates, jen Affleck and Whitney Leavitt, on “Dancing With the stars” Season 34.

Despite the scrutiny, fellow “The View” panelist Griffin predicted Paul’s season of “The Bachelorette” will be “excellent” due to her “super authentic and extremely chaotic” nature. A representative for Paul has not yet responded to a request for comment.
