“Jordan Roy is Dutch entry for Eurovision Song Contest” | NOW

“Jordan Roy this year represents the Netherlands in Rotterdam at the Eurovision Song Contest.” That reports SBS Shownieuws Tuesday based on a ‘reliable source’. The news has not been confirmed by the NPO or the selection committee. Whether Roy will actually represent the Netherlands therefore remains uncertain.

Roy’s real name is Jordy van Toornburg. The Rotterdammer previously participated in the talent program with the vocal group Adliciousal X Factor. He was also a participant in The Voice of Holland. He also toured the Netherlands with a musical show with music by George Michael.

After NPO Radio 2 DJ Timur Perlin said on Sunday that he was certain that the Dutch entry for Eurovision 2020 is an act that starts with the letter ‘J’, the big speculation could begin. From Jacqueline Govaert van Krezip to Jan Keizer: all kinds of names came by. Jordan Roy’s was not actually mentioned, but that doesn’t mean anything. Duncan Laurence was also a stranger to many and it was precisely in 2019 that he won the Netherlands.
