Police in Gouda are investigating the murder of Joeweela, 39, from Eindhoven, who was allegedly lured to her death. De Telegraaf reports that Joeweela was shot last Tuesday by her ex-husband, Driekus K., who later died by suicide.
Authorities are examining the possibility that a third party played a role in the incident, perhaps by deceiving Joeweela into meeting her attacker. Sources suggest this individual, believed to be a woman, offered to facilitate a meeting with Joeweela’s teenage daughter from a previous relationship. Joeweela reportedly purchased a gift for her daughter and arranged the meeting, only to be lured to Bosweg in Gouda under false pretenses.Her uncle stated that Joeweela went to the location with her son and daughter, where Driekus K. was waiting and fired multiple shots.
In the years leading up to her death, Joeweela had resided in several safe houses for victims of domestic violence. despite the security measures intended to protect the locations of these shelters, Driekus K. was reportedly able to discover Joeweela’s whereabouts in Gouda.
The inquiry into joeweela’s murder is ongoing, with the Public Prosecution Service in The Hague stating they cannot confirm the involvement of a third party but acknowledge the active nature of the inquiry.
