Aachen, Germany – Fashion influencer and television personality Joe Laschet, son of former North Rhine-Westphalia Prime Minister Armin laschet, married his fiancée Andrea in a church ceremony in teh Burtscheid district of Aachen today. The wedding, attended by approximately 160 guests, featured a strict dress code and a classic car getaway.
Laschet, known for his classic men’s fashion blog and appearances on TV shows like “The Traitors – Do Not Trust Anyone!” and “Germany’s Stupid Celebrity,” donned a navy blade cutaway suit with a gray vest, while his wife wore a white dress with a bridal bouquet. The couple proudly displayed their wedding rings and shared a kiss before departing in a luxurious open classic car amidst applause.
Guests were informed of a specific dress code in advance. Men were requested to wear a suit and tie, with sneakers explicitly prohibited. An evening reception followed with a “Strictly Black Tie” requirement – meaning tuxedos.
“That is also on the invitation. That just wouldn’t fit into the picture,” Laschet Junior said regarding the daytime dress code.
Among the attendees were Aachen’s “Printen-König” Hermann Bühlbeck and fashion expert Jan-Henrik Scheper-Stuke (“Queer Eye Germany”).
The couple, together for nine years, became engaged three years ago in Rome, near St. Peter’s Basilica. They were married in a Catholic ceremony at the church where Laschet received communion and confirmation.A civil wedding is also planned. Andrea Laschet is a lawyer.
