New York Jets cornerback Kris Boyd is in stable condition following a shooting in Manhattan Monday afternoon, according to police. The NYPD has released images of a person they are seeking for questioning in connection with the incident.
Boyd,a seven-year NFL veteran currently on injured reserve due to a shoulder injury sustained in August,was shot in manhattan. The shooting prompted an immediate investigation, and authorities are urging anyone with data to come forward. The incident underscores the ongoing issue of gun violence in New York City and raises concerns for the safety of athletes and residents alike. The search for the shooter is active, and the Jets association is offering support to Boyd and his family.
The 29-year-old Boyd joined the Jets this season after previous stints with the Minnesota Vikings, houston Texans, and Arizona Cardinals.He starred collegiately at the University of Texas.While sidelined with his shoulder injury, Boyd has remained a positive presence within the team, according to teammates.
