Jakarta Diplomat Death: No Foul Play Ruled Out

Central Jakarta Police Conclude arya Daru’s Death Ruled Accidental, No Foul Play Suspected

Central Jakarta Police have concluded their investigation into the death of Arya Daru, who was found deceased in his room at Guest House Gondangdia on july 8. Authorities have ruled out foul play, citing a lack of evidence of forced entry or any other individuals present in the room. the investigation included an autopsy, digital footprint analysis, adn interviews with 24 witnesses.

Arya Daru was discovered in room 105 of the Guest House Gondangdia,located on Jalan Gondangdia Kecil,Menteng,Central Jakarta. His wife, residing in Yogyakarta, requested a welfare check after arya became unresponsive. The boarding house keeper found the room locked from the inside, with Arya being the sole keyholder. Upon entry, Arya was found with his face covered in yellow tape and his body wrapped in a blanket.

Central Jakarta Police Chief Commissioner Susatyo Purnomo Condro stated that the victim was found on the bed, his head covered in duct tape, and his body wrapped in a blanket. The investigation confirmed that all three door locks were intact and unlocked, and there were no signs of damage to the ceilings or forced entry.

Nathanael E. J.Sumampouw, Chairman of the Indonesian Association of Forensic Psychology (apsifor), commented on Arya’s psychological state, noting a tendency to suppress emotional distress and difficulty in expressing negative emotions.
