Corona test in a center on a rest area on the A8 in Bavaria
On his return from Italy, a man had himself tested at the border. Because he had not received a test result after 24 hours, he went to celebrate. That had consequences.
NAfter a confirmed corona case in Bodenwöhr in the Schwandorf district, 120 contact persons must now be in quarantine. The district office announced on its website that the contacts were made in the private sector. According to “Mittelbayerischer Zeitung”, a man who tested positive after a trip to Italy had attended a birthday party with around 100 guests before he had received his result. The other 20 people are further contact persons of the man.
According to the newspaper, the man had himself tested free of charge on Thursday at the border near Kiefersfelden on his return and received his result on Sunday – but he had already celebrated vigorously. According to the newspaper, he had told his host that he had been promised at the border that if the result was positive, he would be informed within 24 hours. Because there was no call, he took part in the celebration.
With the man’s infection confirmed, the number of infections with the Coronavirus in the district rose from 523 to 524 on Sunday. However, this does not reflect the full scope of the case, explained the district office. All contact persons should now be tested.
