Israeli Strikes Kill Palestinians Across Gaza Amid Ongoing Violence
Ten people were killed near a school in Gaza following Israeli strikes, according to local sources and reports from Haaretz, the BBC, and The Times of Israel.
The casualties occurred during a series of Israeli airstrikes that coincided with a firefight between Hamas and a pro-Israel militia. The clashes and aerial bombardments resulted in the deaths of 10 Gazans in the vicinity of the school.
Other reports indicate further fatalities across the territory. In Gaza City, Israeli strikes on Sunday killed four people. Anadolu Ajansı reported that 12 Palestinians were killed and several others wounded in Israeli attacks throughout Gaza.
These military actions occur whereas a de jure ceasefire has been in effect since October 10, 2025, as part of the second phase of a peace deal. Despite the formal ceasefire, the current state of the conflict is described as a de facto limited war.
As of October 10, 2025, approximately 53% of the Gaza Strip remains under Israeli military control.
