Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich is leading an economic-diplomatic delegation to India,beginning Sunday,with the aim of strengthening economic ties between the two nations.
The delegation plans to advance a series of economic cooperation agreements and expand mutual investments, building on a growing bilateral relationship. Israel and India have been working to deepen collaboration in areas such as technology, agriculture, and defense.
accompanying Smotrich are Director-General Ilan rom, Chief Economist Shmuel Abramzon, Accountant-General Yahli Rotenberg, and Israel Securities Authority chairman Sefi Zinger.
Smotrich’s schedule includes meetings with Indian ministers, senior government officials, and representatives from Indian industry and the business community. He is also slated to meet with members of India’s Jewish community.
