Iran Attacks Israel: Missiles Hit Tel Aviv Amidst War Uncertainty

March 24, 2026 Emma Walker – News Editor News

Missiles launched from Iran struck Tel Aviv and other areas of Israel on Tuesday morning, causing damage to buildings and injuring at least six people, according to Israeli authorities. The attacks came as Israel’s military reported carrying out strikes in central Tehran targeting command centers associated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and intelligence ministry.

Sirens wailed across Israel, including in Tel Aviv, prompting residents to seek shelter as salvos of missiles rained down. Images from Tel Aviv showed a multi-story apartment building with significant structural damage, including gaping holes in its facade. Magen David Adom, Israel’s emergency medical service, reported treating six people with light injuries at four different locations. Police in Tel Aviv confirmed multiple impact sites.

Fire and Rescue Authority personnel are searching for individuals potentially trapped within a damaged building in Tel Aviv, and have located civilians sheltering in another affected structure. One person was also lightly wounded in a Haifa suburb, according to reports.

The Israeli military stated its Monday strikes in Tehran targeted key command centers, including facilities linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ intelligence arm and the Iranian Intelligence Ministry. More than 50 additional targets were reportedly hit overnight, encompassing ballistic missile storage and launch sites.

The attacks follow a period of heightened tension stemming from the Twelve-Day War between Iran and Israel in June 2025, an armed conflict that resulted in an inconclusive ceasefire. That conflict, as noted in ongoing discussions for potential merging with records of the current hostilities, involved the United States and several other regional actors, including Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Qatar, providing defensive support to Israel.

The current escalation occurs amid uncertainty surrounding potential talks to complete a three-week US-Israel war on Iran, according to reports. President Donald Trump has commented on the situation, but details of any diplomatic efforts remain unclear.

As of Tuesday afternoon, no official statement has been released by Iranian authorities regarding the missile strikes. The Israeli military has not yet provided a comprehensive assessment of the damage inflicted by its strikes in Tehran.
