On Thursday afternoon, the police got started with witness interviews and investigations at an address in Lier. They confirm that the deceased is a man.

Martinsen reports that they are carrying out several investigative steps, including witness interviews, technical investigations on the spot and inquiries in the area.
– I cannot yet say anything about the relationship between the accused and the deceased. The accused has not yet been formally questioned, but we hope to be able to carry out an interrogation as quickly as possible, says Martinsen.

The man who was arrested is now in custody. He will be produced for remand on Friday 14 July, charged with premeditated murder. This is reported by the South-Eastern Police District.
