Uruapan, Michoacán - Marian Izaguirre Pineda, a popular TikTok and Instagram influencer, has been found dead, authorities confirmed August 30, 2023. The 21-year-old content creator, known for her fashion, lifestyle, and comedic videos, was reported missing days prior, sparking concern among her substantial online following. Her death underscores the growing risks faced by social media personalities in Mexico, where violence and organized crime are prevalent.
Izaguirre, born November 13, 2001, amassed a significant fanbase with over 4 million TikTok followers and 321,000 on Instagram. Beyond social media,she pursued music,releasing the pop single “boom Boom” in 2023 and creating a comedic tiktok series,Super agent Izaguirre,portraying a police officer. Her disappearance prompted followers to express alarm on her last TikTok post, a lip-sync video to Janette’s “porque te vas,” uploaded August 28, 2023.
Prior to her disappearance, Izaguirre had been actively posting content, including a parody of the Supernova Strikers event and participation in the “Lie Ojitos” trend. The Attorney General of the State of michoacán located her remains, though details surrounding the circumstances of her death have not yet been released. An examination is underway.
