Total Morocco should post a social result down 70% in the first half compared to the same period of the previous year, alerted the oil group on Friday.

This decline is explained by a sharp decrease in fuel demand following the health crisis linked to Covid-19, said Total Maroc in a press release, noting that the group’s fuel sales fell by 60% in April 2020 compared to the same period in 2019.

It is also explained by a sharp drop in international prices for petroleum products since March 2020, leading to a sharp depreciation in the value of stocks, adds the same source.

In addition, Total Maroc affirms its full mobilization, in this difficult environment, to satisfy the needs of its customers and ensure the continuity of its activities in strict compliance with the health rules decreed by the competent authorities in order to protect the health of the whole of his collaborators.
