Jakarta, Indonesia – India’s under-23 squad will face Indonesia in a pair of friendly encounters at the Gelora Bung Karno Madya Stadium on October 10th and 13th, 2025, both kicking off at 6:30 PM indian Standard Time.
The matches provide a crucial opportunity for head coach Naushad Moosa and his team to build momentum following a narrow miss in qualifying for the AFC U-23 Asian Cup.Despite victories against Bahrain and Brunei Darussalam, the Blue Colts finished fifth among the best second-placed teams, falling just short of the top four qualifying spots. Indonesia similarly did not advance, losing 1-0 to Korea Republic in their final group stage match and ranking tenth among runners-up. These friendlies are a key component of the team’s advancement as they look ahead to future qualifying campaigns.
This trip to Jakarta falls within the October FIFA International Match Window, allowing for full squad participation. Prior to these upcoming matches, the India U23 team completed four earlier friendly fixtures this season, including trips to Tajikistan in June to play the host nation and Kyrgyz Republic, and two games against Iraq in Malaysia in August.
