Incheon Wellness Event Draws 10,000,Signals Expansion of Medical Tourism
INCHEON,SOUTH KOREA – Approximately 10,000 people attended the ‘incheon Well Medy Festa,’ a wellness and medical tourism event centered around the theme of ”forest of rest,” held recently in Incheon. the festival showcased the city’s growing prominence as a leading destination for wellness tourism in the Seoul metropolitan area and highlighted new initiatives to attract both domestic and international visitors.
the event served as a platform to discuss strategies for implementing the Healing Tourism Industry Act and to develop practical wellness tourism products. A regular meeting of Incheon Well-Medi officials, held in the third quarter of this year, focused on training industry professionals to enhance promotional efforts. This push comes as Incheon aims to solidify its position as a hub for integrated wellness and medical services, capitalizing on a sector increasingly valued by travelers seeking holistic health experiences.
Incheon Mayor Yoo Jung-bok underscored the city’s commitment, stating, “Incheon has been making a leading model in the Seoul metropolitan area by institutionally promoting wellness tourist destinations since 2021.” He further added that the city intends to expand its wellness and medical tourism offerings, building upon the successes demonstrated at the Festa.
The event concluded with a reaffirmation of Incheon’s dedication to fostering a thriving wellness tourism ecosystem, with continued investment expected in product progress and industry training.
