Ice rink opens at Rockefeller Center in New York

The ice rink was first set up for Christmas 1936. It is easy to recognize by the gold-colored statue of Prometheus from Greek mythology and the many US flags, and New Yorkers and visitors in the Corona crisis don’t have to do without the traditional Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center in Manhattan. The giant spruce was erected last weekend. Tens of thousands of lights should go on there at the beginning of December.
