Hyderabad Man Dies During Badminton Match: Heart Attack Causes Shocking Death

A 26-year-old man, identified as Gundla Rakesh, a resident of Khammam district in Telangana, tragically passed away from a suspected heart attack during a badminton match in Hyderabad on Sunday evening. The incident occurred at a private sports academy in Uppal around 8 pm.

Shocking footage of the event, which has since gone viral on social media, shows Rakesh collapsing on the court in the middle of a doubles match. He had just played a shot and was bending down to retrieve the shuttlecock when he suddenly fell.

Friends present at the academy instantly rushed Rakesh to a private hospital,where doctors declared him brought dead. The video also captures other players attempting to revive him by performing chest compressions.

Police have confirmed that a post-mortem examination has been conducted on the 26-year-old, and the reports are currently awaited. this incident is the latest in a series of reported heart-attack related deaths among young individuals.

Earlier this month, a 35-year-old man named Pankaj Sharma died of a heart attack while exercising at a gym in Ballabhgarh, Faridabad. In a separate growth last month, the Karnataka government established a committee of experts to investigate a surge in heart attack-related fatalities in the state, especially in hassan district, where 23 deaths were reported within 40 days, with most victims aged between 19 and 45.
