Huawei Mate 40 will be released October 22, curious? – Huawei finally officially announced the launch schedule for its newest smartphone, the Mate 40. CEO of Huawei Consumer Business and Huawei Executive Director, Richard Yu, who announced the news via the Weibo channel.

Reported by GSM Arena, Saturday (12/10), the announcement of this smartphone will be made on October 22, 2020. The global launch schedule is at 14.00 European time or around 19.00 WIB.

In the announcement, which was shown via a short video, Huawei showed a glimpse of the human eye. But it is not yet known whether this appearance is related to the features in the Mate 40 later.

For information, information about this smartphone is already busy appearing on the internet. Recently, there was a short video about the hands-on Mate 40 Pro.

Based on the video, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro has a screen with a slightly curved design on the right and left, and a punch hole at the top. Additionally, there is a red power button next to the volume button.

The Huawei Mate 40 series is also said to debut using the Kirin 9000 chipset. In addition, the camera on this smartphone is predicted to have a circular design on the back.

The Last Kirin Chipset Smartphone

On the other hand, Richard Yu, President of the Huawei Consumer Business Group also said that the Mate 40 will use the latest HiSilicon Kirin processor.

The Mate 40 will be Huawei’s last smartphone to use the Kirin chipset after September 15, 2020, as quoted from the XDA Developers page, Sunday (9/8).

This statement follows a United States blockade that prohibits all semiconductor chip manufacturers using US chipmaking equipment technology, intellectual property, or design software from applying for permits before shipping chips to Huawei.

Because of this, TSMC, as the maker of the Kirin processor, was forced to stop the production process and supply chain for Huawei’s new smartphones, because TSMC’s production process uses equipment from US companies such as Lam Research and Applied Materials.
