HOUSTON, Texas – The Houston Police Department is seeking two suspects wanted in connection with a pair of robberies in southwest Houston, including an August purse snatching caught on surveillance video. Breon Twine, 23, and Larry Wiley, 23, have both been charged with robbery with bodily injury.
investigators say the pair are linked to a robbery that occurred on Saturday, August 23, at a shopping center in the 4700 block of Beechnut Street around 10 p.m. Surveillance footage shows a woman being forcibly robbed of her purse as she walked to her car, falling to the ground during a struggle with the suspect before he fled in a white Toyota Camry. The suspects are also under inquiry for a separate robbery at the same location.
Following the initial incident,tips led police to identify Twine and Wiley. Court documents indicate the suspects allegedly used the victim’s credit card at a SunMart gas station on Cullen Boulevard. The white Toyota Camry involved is registered to Twine’s girlfriend, according to police.
