Houston Robbery Suspects: 2 Men Wanted After Purse Snatching

HOUSTON, Texas – The Houston Police Department ​is seeking two suspects wanted in connection with a pair of robberies in southwest Houston, including an August purse snatching⁤ caught‍ on surveillance video. Breon​ Twine, 23, and Larry Wiley, 23, have⁤ both been⁤ charged with robbery with bodily injury.

investigators ⁢say the pair are linked to a robbery that occurred‌ on Saturday, August ‌23, at a shopping center in the 4700 block of Beechnut Street around 10 p.m. Surveillance footage shows a woman being forcibly robbed of her purse as she walked to her car, falling to the ground ​during a struggle with ​the suspect before he fled in a white Toyota Camry. The suspects are also under inquiry for a separate robbery at ‍the​ same location.

Following the initial incident,tips⁤ led police to identify Twine and ⁤Wiley. Court documents indicate the suspects allegedly ‍used the victim’s credit card at a SunMart gas station on Cullen Boulevard. The white Toyota Camry involved is registered to Twine’s girlfriend, according to police.
