A fatal two-vehicle collision occurred early this morning on W. bellfort Avenue and South Sam Houston Parkway W., according to the Houston Fire Department.The incident, wich took place around 3 a.m., resulted in one fatality.
Authorities reported that each vehicle involved had a single occupant. one individual was pronounced deceased at the scene. The other occupant of a vehicle was taken into custody and is being questioned due to exhibiting signs of intoxication. The exact sequence of events leading to the crash remains under investigation.
Police have indicated that if the ongoing investigation confirms suspicions of driving while intoxicated, the individual in custody will face charges.Further details have not yet been released.
This incident is separate from another ongoing investigation involving a Houston shooting. Separately, North Shore football player Chace Calicut has denied involvement in a Houston shooting, asserting he was threatened.
