HONOR GT 2 Series Gains 3C Certification, Confirms 100W Fast Charging
The HONOR GT 2 Series has received 3C certification in china, confirming support for 100W fast charging. This advancement signals an imminent launch for the new HONOR flagship line, building on the success of the HONOR GT Pro released last april. The certification details, first reported by GSMarena, point to a notable leap in charging speed and potentially, battery capacity.
The upcoming HONOR GT 2 Series is generating excitement due to rumors of a massive battery – speculated to range between 8,500mAh and 10,000mAh – alongside high-end specifications. This combination aims to address a key consumer demand for extended battery life without sacrificing charging convenience. The series is expected to include a standard HONOR GT 2 model potentially powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and a GT 2 Pro variant that may feature the newer Snapdragon 8 elite Gen 5.
Beyond charging and processing power, the GT 2 Series is anticipated to feature a metal frame design, a flat screen with a 3D Ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, a 50MP main camera with a large sensor, and robust durability with IP68 and IP69 waterproof and dustproof ratings. The challenge for HONOR will be maintaining a manageable form factor while accommodating the significantly increased battery size.
A launch within this month is anticipated, continuing the momentum established by the Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered, 7,200mAh HONOR GT Pro.
