Berlin hosted a private premiere of “Holiguards Saga – The Portal of Force” on February 16th at the ASTOR Film Lounge, signaling the launch of an ambitious, multi-installment cinematic franchise. The black-tie event coincided with the Berlin International Film Festival, drawing industry guests, partners and media representatives, according to a press release issued by ACCESS Newswire.
The independently developed film, directed by Kevin Spacey in his first directorial effort in approximately two decades, centers on a conflict between the Holiguards and the Statiguards – two ideological orders vying for control of humanity’s future. The Holiguards champion personal freedom, whereas the Statiguards advocate for systemic order, a narrative tension producers intend to explore across multiple films.
Disha Patani stars as Jessica, a pivotal character positioned between the two factions as the daughter of their respective leaders. Her choices, the producers say, will determine the fate of the “Portal of Force,” a mysterious energy source central to the saga’s mythology. The ensemble cast too includes Dolph Lundgren, Tyrese Gibson, Brianna Hildebrand, Swen Temmel, Lado Okhotnikov, Harry Goodwins, and Sonia Pim Couling.
Elvira Paterson, who led production alongside Vadim Degtiarev, spearheaded the international promotion strategy for the project through Elledgy Media Group. Prior to the Berlin premiere, Paterson and Spacey reportedly held private screenings and gala dinners in Cannes and Venice, according to multiple reports.
Following the Berlin screening, the production team has indicated plans for additional private screenings in select international markets. Formal inquiries from international sales agents, distribution representatives, and potential investors have already been received, according to a statement released by Elledgy Media Group. No official worldwide theatrical or streaming release date has been confirmed at this time.
The project is structured as a long-term cinematic universe, with discussions ongoing regarding financing and production of subsequent chapters, as reported by The Next Web. Antonina Lubchenko of Elledgy Media Group is handling media inquiries.
