[마이데일리 = 김종국 기자] HL Anyang starts with the goal of becoming the 10th champion of the Asian League Ice Hockey.
HL Anyang will start preparing for the Asian League Ice Hockey season in the 2025-26 season, starting with physical training, which will begin on the 14th. HL Anyang, the ninth champion of last season, quickly reorganized the team after the end of the season and confirmed the roster earlier this month. The 2018 PyeongChang Olympic members left the team, and the proportion of young blood was higher.
Veteran forward Park Jin -kyu, Lee Young -joon, and Defense Kim Won -jun resigned from active duty. HL Anyang recruited forward Lee Yun -seok and Defense Kwon Min -jae, who graduated from Korea University to fill the gap.
Lee Yun -seok, who played as a member of the men’s ice hockey team in the 2025 International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) World Championship Division 1 Group B. He played five world championships and scored one goal and one assist.
Kwon Min -jae, with 185cm of physical, is considered to play a stable play with a karate balance. Kwon Min -jae is expected to be granted by the defense line, which has increased empty seats by overlapping the military enlistment and the transfer of Lee Min -jae.
Lee Nam -kyu, who graduated from Kwangwoon University, was recruited at the gatekeeper where Matt Dalton retired. HL Anyang aims to transplant Dalton’s know -how, which will be part -time goli coach, to Lee Nam -gyu and raise it as a future resource.
Shin Sang -hoon, who left the team in Echl and Poland last season, returned after two years. HL Anyang expects to strengthen its goal determination with Shin Sang -hoon’s return to overseas leagues.
In the 2025-26 season, the Asian League Ice Hockey will cover the championship through the four-final playoffs after the HL Anyang and Japan’s five teams (Red Eagles, Tohoku Free Blaze, Nikko Icebucks, Yokohama Ritz, Kobe Stars) played a regular league game per team. Kobestars participated in the league and the weekday game was revived.
HL Anyang will start the season with Nikko Icebucks on September 20. The home opening game is scheduled for Yokohama Gritz on October 4 at 4 pm.
HL Anyang plans to focus on physical training in July. Baek Ji -sun, who is currently in the United States, plans to start full -fledged ice training from the next month.
