American French Film Festival in L.A. Unveils 2025 Lineup, Spotlighting New French Cinema & Series
Los Angeles, CA – The American French Film Festival (TAFFF) today announced its 2025 lineup, showcasing a diverse selection of French films adn television series poised to captivate American audiences.The festival,a key platform for promoting French productions in the United States,will feature premieres and screenings of both established and emerging filmmakers.
Now in its nearly three decades, TAFFF has become a vital bridge between the French and American film industries. The 2025 edition will include films such as Drifting Laurent by Couture and Mattéo Eustachon, Léonor Seraille’s Ari, Louise Hémon’s The Girl In The Snow, and Quentin dupieux’s The Piano accident. Ten new drama series will also be presented, including Jessica pallud’s action-adventure The Seduction, Jean-Stépane Bron’s political thriller The Deal (co-written with Alice Wincour), and Cédric Anger’s thriller The Hunt for Gaumont and Apple TV+.
The festival will also screen six documentaries, including Guillaume Ribot’s All I Had Was Nothing, offering a behind-the-scenes look at Claude Lanzmann’s Shoah, and Sepideh Farsi’s Put Your Soul On Your Hand and Walk, created from video-calls with a photojournalist in Gaza.
TAFFF audiences will have the opportunity to vote for their favorites in cinema, television, and Shorts categories. The Los Angeles Film Critics Association (LAFCA) will partner with the festival for the 16th year, awarding a Critics’ Award and a first feature award in the cinema category, while a professional jury will determine the best Series Award.
Winners will be announced on November 4 and honored at a ceremony in Paris on November 12.
The American French Film Festival is a joint initiative of the Directors Guild of America (DGA), the Motion Picture Association (MPA), France’s Society of Authors, Composers and Publishers of Music (SACEM), and the Writers guild of America West (WGAW).It is indeed presented in association with CNC – Centre National du Cinéma et de l’Image Animée, with support from Villa Albertine, The Consulate General of France in Los Angeles, and Unifrance.
