Tokyo, Japan – Nikon has begun offering its Zf full-frame mirrorless camera in a silver finish, but the aesthetic upgrade comes at a notable cost: a €700 price increase over the existing black model. The silver Zf is listed at €2,499, returning to the camera’s original recommended retail price, while the black version is currently available from online retailers for an average of €1,770, despite Nikon’s advertised RRP of €1,799.The camera itself remains technically unchanged from the Zf introduced two years ago, offering the same features and performance within a new silver housing. The price difference has sparked debate among photographers, with some questioning nikon’s pricing strategy given the camera’s existing market value.
Viltrox Enters L-Mount Alliance, Announces 56mm f/1.2 Pro APS-C Lens
Shenzhen,China – Viltrox has joined the L-Mount alliance and will soon release officially licensed lenses for the L-Mount system. The announcement coincides with the launch of the Viltrox 56mm f/1.2 Pro lens for APS-C cameras, priced at €569.
The 56mm f/1.2 Pro has received positive reviews, earning a five-star rating from DigitalCameraWorld, which praised its sharpness, bokeh, and minimal aberrations.Photographer stephan Wiesner also noted the lens’s fast autofocus, suggesting it outperforms Fuji’s own 56mm f/1.2 lens. The lens is currently available for Fuji and Sony E-Mount systems, with a Z-Mount version reportedly in development by both Viltrox and Rollei.
