Minivan Strikes Pedestrians at Pennsylvania’s Kipona Festival, Hospitalizing Three
HARRISBURG, PA – A minivan drove through a barricaded area of the Kipona Festival in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Monday evening, injuring three people and sending a 6-year-old boy too the hospital in critical condition. the incident occurred shortly after 6 p.m., as the festival was concluding, according to Harrisburg Bureau of Police Captain Atah Akakpo-Martin.

Harrisburg Mayor Wanda Williams confirmed that a 6-year-old boy sustained critical injuries and was transported to a local hospital. Two adults were also injured: a man employed by the city’s traffic engineering department and a woman who was using a wheelchair at the time of the collision. Both adults are reported to be in stable condition.
Police stated the red minivan traveled multiple blocks through the festival grounds, striking several objects before coming to a stop.The extent of any injuries to the driver remains unknown, and officials have not yet confirmed if the driver was alone in the vehicle.
